I want to make my computer look like it belongs to me. I am an artist and I want every aspect of this computer to reflect that. I have downloaded some icons from the internet to use as replacements for the folder icons and others for the desktop but thesystem will not let me use them. The message I keep getting when I try to use them to replace the other icons is that they are not icon files.

Sticker Icon Pack Installer Windows 7

When I change the extension to.ico it still won't let me use them. Is it even possible to use these icons to replacethe boring ones in Windows 7? If so, how can I do it? Where do I have to save these icons and how? Does anyone know? I'm sick of looking at all these boring icons in this computer. Do they need to be installed somewhere in the system so I can use them? - No, they just need to be somewhere on the system, not installed.I don't believe that these files are icons. If they were you would not have had to change their extension to.ico.There are normally lots of icon managers & icon editors available as freeware so search for one of them & use it to convert your pictures as I assume they are into icons.
