Hi LancelotI succeeded in adding ERD as a shell in Gena. ERD doesn't need any registry adjustments so writing a script is not necessary. Here is how did it.1. Set XPELogon as the shell in Winlogon/Shell script. Then changed the Shell to start to PEShell.exe.2. ERD only needs a couple of DLL and Executable files ( got the list of files from a BartPE plugin ).

I used the Tweaks- Additional Files script to add all ERD files to the System32 folder of Gena. Also PEShell and it's configuration file is added to the System32 folder. Here is the configuration file i used.

Hi LancelotMy original intention was to use your Peshell script and modify either one of your alternate shell script to include ERD. But in my testing, Explorer shell needs Explorer Shell Prepare batch file to be run at first. Otherwise desktop doesn't seems to be created. So as a test, i created a normal Gena build with the modifications i explained in my post. This way Explorer seems to be working fine without running the Explorer Shell prepare batch file first. I am not entirely sure whether all startup items work.

In my build i included Portable Finder CMD which seems to be running on startup without issues.Btw, please check the PM i send you. But i would recommend removing the ERD shortcut creation function. ERD tools requires the shell to be run first and attach a supported OS ( 2000 / XP /2003 ) to work. It is very similar to the working of WinRE in NT6 family.

Running the tools directly from Explorer doesn't seems to work ( well, that is the real reason i wanted to run ERD Shell inside Gena ).Side note:Older version of ERD tools ( ie 2005 ) can be run inside BartPE / Gena or any other PE 1 without issues. ERD Logon from The Truth can be used to set the target OS. But not after ERD became MSDaRT. I ran malware bytes on my girlfriends computer for the quick scan it found 280 objects after i removed them i cant log on to safe mode or normal mode it just goes like its going to boot up then logs off as soon as it does that and goes to the wecome screen where you click your username. What can i do to fix this? I tried restarting it a few times still cant load the desktop.I also ran it on a friends computer he had vundo, it detected 12 objects removed them but now his desktop paper turns pure white and macafee comes up with A vundo file in windows/system/32/opnmJARi.dll and his task manager is still locked.any help would be appriciated.

No if it was burned properly it would boot up and look a little like Windows XP but without all the icons.Do you have a bootable Windows XP CD?If you do let me know and we can do a file copy to get the system going again probably.If not, then you need to try the.ISO image burn again, take it slow and follow the directions.You may need to go into Folder options under the Tools menu in My Computer and under the VIEW taband set it like below to quit hiding files and folder.Then it is a File Open to burn the ISO image. Yea I ended up getting it done with dvd decryptor.

The registry was not the same it had some other executable attatched to it 'ndos.exe' I deleted it but its still caught in the loop, i rechecked it and it now reads what it is supposed toYeah the system is still infected if that has something else. So when you boot up it will probably change it on the fly.You may need to remove the drive and scan it from another system but be careful if you do that as some of the new malware is good at attacking the host as well.So can you boot up and logon to your box right now or is it still starting then logging out?
