Greetings,The webcam is intentionally designed to be hidden when it is turned off. This is a security feature to make it more difficult for someone to find it and turn it on when you don't want it on. The webcam is controlled by MSI's SCM (System Control Manager) software. The latest version for your notebook should be listed under the 'Utilities' of MSI's download page for your model. Only install the SCM provided for your model-not another model.My guess is that the Win 10 update was not compatible with the SCM on your notebook and you probably need to uninstall the old version of SCM and install the new one. However, the SCM has some dependents. I'm not sure how many MSI programs link to it, but the Dragon Center is probably one.
Dependents need to be uninstalled first, then reinstalled after the SCM is back up and running. So uninstall the Dragon Center (or Dragon Gaming Center if your notebook is older) before you do anything with the SCM.If you did a clean install of Win 10, you'll need to install the MSI drivers in the, then install the utility programs. The SCM is the first utility that should always be installed and it is not optional-it should always be installed because it handles several low-level systems in your notebook that won't work properly (if at all) without it. Many of the other utilities are optional.Once the SCM is up and running, you can use it to turn on the webcam.

There is no option for the CR630 to download the Dragon Center. In the Windows Device Manager there is only audio device and the video device is still missing. A bad sign is when I want to download the webcam driver for my CR630 laptop, the message appears: ' 0 Mb This device uses the native driver bundled in the operating system'. I don't know whether I can find it somewhere and if yes how to activate it.Best regards,Laszlo. I see, it sucks that you can't get the hw to work properly. I am afraid at this point the only thing you can try is open a support ticket with msi since they don't participate on the forums. You can do this through your account if you registered the laptop at some point.

Alternatively you would have to call them by phone. While they do not officially support win 10 for your product it is weird that they would leave you with something that is not functional due to drivers.

I am afraid the laptop is considered pretty much outdated at this point and how they call it here 'end of life'.So, maybe you would have better result contacting microsoft since your windows 10 is actually still covered by their support (msi can just tell you to get something newer or live with it pretty much).In the end they all can tell you it's no longer supported and to buy a new one, it's the sad truth.
