I have the same issue with backburner 2017, trying to run manager and server on the same device.My system has the creator update installed, the manager throws the same errors as mentioned in this post. When I try to start a new task however, my manager crashes when hitting 'submit' (it does connect to the server first). I also get the error: Error submitting job to manager. I/O error transferring 'NewJob'.I see the new job I just submitted in the monitor, and when I restart the manager, it says 'There is no valid server to process job '.

I guess it's getting corrupted while the crash happens?Different systems can access backburner however (creators update not installed) and I can use my system as a server for them without any problems.This has been happening for a while now, I've been searching for solutions but I guess this is still under investigation?Hope this gets updated soon. I found this thread because I also have the same issue. Yesterday I had no issues. Last night I upgraded windows 10 and now my backburner is rendering fine for four frames then I get the 'Could not broadcast DISCOVERSERVERS.' Warning but then it renders four frames again and gives the warning again. This is gone on for 11 cycles so far and counting. No harm no foul.

Rendering is fine. But I'd like to solve the issue just the same.I'm running Max 1017 and made no changes to Max or my network. They only change was the Windows 10 upgrade. Hello,I appreciate the updates and information here. This is still being investigated. I spent the 4th weekend fixing my Mom's computer because of the CU as well, some kind of issue with her tax software. This issue has been logged but so far there is no workaround.

It may be that BB needs a code update to better communicate with W10 CU, but right now I don't have enough information to say for sure. The inability to remove it after 10 days does pose a bit of a problem for some users and I do understand that. I will update this thread when I know more.

My best suggestions are to look into the things in my previous questions in this thread to see if you can find some kind of problem with the network configuration. There do seem to be some widespread problems with network discovery an the CU in other areas,. I have restrictions on which sites I can link out to which is why I post Goggle links so people can look through them.

You may look at some of the suggestions in that Google search for answers on the Windows side of things while we wait for QA. I do see which has an MS moderator suggesting rolling back is the only fix for this users problem which seems tangentially related.This problem on the surface looks like a Windows problem similar to the.Net 4.7 problem from a couple weeks ago, from my vantage point. We can only wait to see, but the fix here may likely need to come from MS or we may all need to wait to see how MS addresses this issue so you/I can get configuration steps.

Or possibly a fix to BB would need to be made, I cannot tell yet as I truly do not know. The best I can do right now is to promise to update you when I find out more information.It may be a good idea to be selective in OS upgrades or at least test them first in isolation moving forward with W10 updates. That being said, I also realize W10 doesn't always make this easy depending on how your OS is configured. The base design of W10 was that it would be the and so would update on the fly. This will pose some interesting challenges for developers and MS alike I feel in the coming years.

I did not personaly do anything to have this. W10 updates are mandatory and there's nothing I can do about it. Hello,I understand your concern here and I empathize. Sometimes I wonder if it would be best if I just simply said things like 'It's a known issue and it's being looked into' and leave it at that, but my nature is that I want to explain things and it doesn't always make people happy.You're right that the devs need to look into it, but that doesn't mean they immediately drop what they are doing in order to do that, so it takes some time. Often MS posts updates/fixes within a short period of time and they may be waiting to see if that happens.

(It happened with.Net 4.7.) I have read on the internet about MS putting more time into addressing issues with the CU.I don't have the technical expertise in Windows to tell you the proper method for managing update rollouts, but this might put you on the right path. May help understand how to defer or disable the CU prior to installation, but this is not an officially suggested fix for anything. Don't hold me accountable if problems happen, W10 is built to make updates hard to turn off. Once you've installed it and 10 days go by, there's nothing you can do but reinstall Windows if you want to get rid of it.All that being said, if you really don't like how W10 updates then perhaps Win 7 or 8 is better for you. I personally use W7 at home and at work, I prefer the long term stability. My logical process is that my OS is the cheapest component in my system, so I place the least importance on it.

The master browser is stopping or an election is being forced.2) Event 4321, NetBT: The name 'X': 1d' could not be registered on the interface with IP address XXX.XXX.XX.131. The computer with the IP address XXX.XXX.XX.13 did not allow the name to be claimed by this computer.3) Event 4319, NetBT: A duplicate name has been detected on the TCP network.

The IP addresss of the computer that sent the message is in the data. Use NBSTAT -n in a command window to see which name is in the Conflict State.
