I don't know if I'm much help, but I had a lot of frustration in getting Digitizer pro to run on my Windows 10 machine. My problem turned out to be updates. I had to install both of the updates before trying to use the program and then all was well. So,once you get past this installation error, make sure to go to the Janome website and get/install the 2 updates before trying to run it. Otherwise, it tries to start and then just mysteriously stops running with no explanation.Just another thought on your current issue: make sure you don't plug your dongle into your machine before the installation specifically asks for it.
